Shereen Nanjiani talks to comedian Janey Godley, who found a wealth of stand up material in her tough childhood. Plus news, sport and paper reviews with her lively panel.

Shereen Nanjiani holds the reins as her panel of top reviewers take a run at the week's stories and a review of the papers. On the eve of her appearance at the Glasgow comedy festival, Janey Godley is Shereen's special guest. She takes an unsentimental look at her tough childhood in Shettleston and her gangland marriage. Shettleston gave Janey all the material she needed for her shows, and she says that although she grew up in poverty, everyone was poor and she didn't know anyone who had a pony. She talks too of her paedophile uncle, and her mother who was murdered at the age of forty seven. Despite all this, Janey is a lively and funny woman who thinks that she's had a lucky life. 'I'm a comedienne, and I get to talk - it's easy!'.
