Featuring The Faces live in 1971, archive sessions from The Pretty Things in 1974, and Alexis Corner from 1965.

CONCERT:

Faces (playing the Paris Theatre, London in 1971)
Acid Jazz and Funk band formed in 1985.
They were originally called Brother International.
They decided on the Heavies name borrowing from a linear note on a James Brown single.

SESSIONS:

Pretty Things (in session for John Peel on 17th December 1974)
New Wave band formed by Steve Strange and Rusty Egan subsequently joined by Midge Ure and
Dave Formula
They ran from 1978 - 1985 with Midge Ure leaving in 1982 to form Ultravox
Steve Strange launched a 2nd incarnation of the band in 2002 and Dave Formula now has a
solo career

Alexis Korner (in session in 1965)
The band formed in Ottawa, Canada in 2002.
They have released 4 albums to date.
Last year's 'Rising Sun' album was nominated for Instrumental Album of the Year at the 2011 Junos
(the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy's)
They played The Jazz Caf茅 in London and Hare and Hounds in Birmingham last month.
There are no forthcoming UK dates at present.
