Scottish Cup Semi-Final: Motherwell v St Johnstone

Rob MacLean, Pat Nevin and Billy Dodds present live semi-final action as Motherwell take on St Johnstone. Liam McLeod and Craig Paterson commentate; kick-off is at 12.45pm.

Live from Hampden (kick-off 12.45pm).

The first of this weekend's semi-finals sees two young Scottish managers go head-to-head with a place in the Cup final at stake as Stuart McCall's Well side take on the Perth Saints of Derek McInnes. Both sets of supporters will be dreaming of returning to Hampden to take on either Aberdeen or Celtic in the Scottish Cup final on May 21st.

Motherwell have been to six Scottish Cup finals, winning twice - in 1952 and more recently in 1991- in one of the most memorable finals in the competition's history. En route to today's match they have beaten Dundee, Stranraer and holders Dundee Utd in an emphatic 3-0 replay victory at Fir Park in the last eight. And the Steelmen have already been to a Hampden semi-final this season, losing narrowly to Rangers in the League Cup in January.

St Johnstone have made it to the last four of the Cup seven times before, most recently in 2008, but have never made it to the final. Will this be their year? To get to this stage, they defeated Hearts and Partick Thistle and were taken to a replay by second division Brechin City in the quarter-finals after a thrilling 2-2 draw in the first encounter at Glebe Park.

Presented by Rob Maclean with Pat Nevin and Billy Dodds. Liam McLeod and Craig Paterson are in the commentary box.
