Part 1

David Dimbleby presents election night coverage as results come in from all four corners of the nation. With Jeremy Vine, Emily Maitlis and Nick Robinson.

David Dimbleby is your election night guide as results come in from all four corners of the nation.

One year ago, David Cameron entered Downing Street as head of the first coalition government at Westminster since the war. That government now faces its first political test, with thousands of councillors up for election in England.

In Scotland, First Minister Alex Salmond will find out if the SNP can once again form a Government.

In Wales, Labour's Carwyn Jones will want to know if Welsh Labour can govern on its own at the Assembly, or whether it will have to negotiate another coalition.

As the results are announced, the new composition of the Northern Ireland Assembly will be revealed, along with the result of the first UK-wide referendum in 30 years on whether to change the way MPs are elected. Jeremy Vine and Emily Maitlis analyse the results as they come in.

The 大象传媒's political teams will be at the most exciting counts and will present their full assessment of the situation in their own regions at 00.30, 01.30 and 02.30.

The 大象传媒's Political Editor, Nick Robinson, will assess the impact all these elections will have on the years ahead.
