Dave spotlights late '80s dance and the arrival of house music from America. Hacienda legend Mike Pickering is our godlike DJ, and Felix of Basement Jaxx picks his Ultimate 12".

Dave Pearce champions the landmark dance records of the last 40 years - this week he spotlights the late '80s and the arrival of house music from America.

Mike Pickering joins the ranks of our godlike DJs. The founding member of dance group M People and legendary Hacienda DJ, he looks back at the Manchester club's formative years and heyday.

Felix Buxton of Basement Jaxx heads back to the '90s for his choice of Ultimate 12" single, with the original version of a track later covered by Aretha Franklin.
