Georgian Music

Aled Jones explores Georgian music in suburban Yorkshire. He joins local musicians and Georgian choral expert Davit Tsintsadze as they share the country's music, history and food.

A Yorkshire suburb is hardly where you would expect to hear the sounds of Georgian choral music. But thanks to a group of enthusiasts the county has now become a focal point for singers addicted to this ancient musical style encompassing every human emotion. Aled Jones joins local musicians and Georgian choral guru Davit Tsintsadze as they share the country's music, history and food, and finds out what makes the tradition so captivating for those who experience it first-hand.
