The final programme this week featuring concert performances by the 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra and their family of conductors culminates in a thrilling performance of Mahler's Symphony of a Thousand from last year's Edinburgh Festival under the baton of Chief Conductor Donald Runnicles and featuring a stellar cast. We also hear the orchestra's Artist-in-Association Matthias Pintscher, who conducts the 大象传媒 SSO in Messiaen's Un Sourire - A Smile. And the programme starts with brand-new CD recordings of British music.
