Sir Terry Wogan eases you into your Sunday lunch with music and musings. This week, he invites Randy Newman and Hermione Hennessy into the studio for a chat and a performance.

Randy Newman is an American singer-songwriter (known for his self-referential and sarcastic lyrics), noted pianist and film composer. A professional songwriter since the age of seventeen, and from a long line of noted Hollywood film composers, Newman has released twelve studio albums and has composed more than 20 film scores including all three Toy Story movies, A Bug's Life, Meet the Parents and Monsters Inc. A two-times winner, Newman has been nominated for 20 Academy Awards, as well as winning six Grammy Awards and three Emmy Awards. His new compilation album, The Randy Newman Songbook Vol 2, was released last month.

Singer-songwriter and classically trained pianist Hermione Hennessy is the daughter of the late Irish folk musician Christie Hennessy. Having worked in music management helping acts including Feeder, Groove Armada, Elaine Paige, and her father; Hermione was propelled to stardom in Ireland after appearing on the Late Late Show as a tribute to her father's fans. She was was soon persuaded to record an album - Songs My Father Taught Me - which features original songs as well as covers of tracks by her father, Aimee Man and Crowded House.
