News of the World scandal

Are the press, politicians and police all as bad as each other? Plus our weekly cricket panel with England women's star Isa Guha and cricket agent Umran Khan.

At 1- Are the press, politicians and police all as bad as each other?

Its only been twenty two hours since we last talked, but what a twenty two hours its been. Yesterday evening it was announced that the biggest selling sunday newspaper in Britain, the News of the World, was to close in the wake of the phone hacking scandal. There are allegations they'd been paying hundreds of thousands of pounds to Metropolitan Police Officers for information.

Then today we saw the Prime Minister getting a kicking in a press conference for cosying up to Rupert Murdoch, employing the man at the centre of the News of the World scandal Andy Coulson at number 10, and, not speaking out because he was too scared of the influence of the press.

So what do you make of it all? Its seems the press got away with behaving badly because Politicians from all parties were desperately sucking up to the powerful Murdoch group. Police didn't investigate phone hacking properly when it first came out for the same reasons.

Are they all as bad as each other? What do you think about our press and politicians? Are they better or worse than those in South Asia? At least there the corruption is explicit.

After 2- It's our weekly cricket panel with England women's star Isa Guha and Cricket Agent from 'Aces Middle East' Umran Khan.
