More of us are choosing pedal power to get to work. But are cyclists victims of selfish drivers or are they a menace on the road? Should they be treated more like drivers... forced to take a test and be taxed and insured? Or should they protected with better cycle routes?
Can the Territorial Army take the place of regular soldiers? The Defence Spending review is expected to call for training for part-time soldiers which could be funded by professional troops losing their jobs. Is this a good use of resources or just soldiering on the cheap?
