Queen of Ska Pauline Black talks about her new book Black By Design which covers The Selecter, 2 Tone and her search for identity, plus a preview of the Edinburgh Jazz Festival.

The 大象传媒 has teamed up with the Public Catalogue Foundation to create a website called Your Paintings. This puts online all 200 000 of the nations publically owned paintings to ensure these works of art are available to all on one dedicated website. Artist Alison Watt and Herald art critic Phil Miller discuss the project.

Straight from Broadway and for the first time in Scotland, The Pitmen Painters comes to Glasgow's Theatre Royal. Written by Lee Hall (creator of Billy Elliot) it's the story of a group of miners who take up painting and encompasses the relationship between art, class and politics. Cast members Trevor Fox and Deka Walmsley talk about the production.

The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival begins on the 22nd of July. Producer Roger Spence previews the festival and looks at why there is a mini 'West Side Story' theme going on and which young artists are paving the way in the resurgence of brass band music.
