Anthem
Series exploring the process of songwriting. Guy Chambers and The Noisettes attempt to write an anthemic pop song that will pass the test of time.
Pop supremo Guy Chambers scored a major hit with Robbie Williams' signature opener Let Me Entertain You. Its popularity as a crowd-pleasing belter that gets people singing along and punching the air has accorded it anthemic status.
So can he pull off a similar trick with the band The Noisettes? That's the task they set themselves in three days of intensive work in Guy's studio in the hope of crafting a song that, like the very best anthems, will pass the test of time.
This looks at the elements that make a great anthem, and follows Chambers and The Noisettes from the start of the process through to the first performance in front of the only experts that count - a live audience.
Also on hand to offer their insights are Brian May, Joan Jett and Neil Tennant.
