After huge fluctuations worldwide stock markets are back in positive territory. How should businesses be handling the riots in England?

After some huge fluctuations, stock markets from Wall Street to Asia have closed in positive territory. Shares were helped by an announcement from the US Federal Reserve that it will keep interest rates at almost zero for at least another two years.
How should businesses be handling the riots in England? Is it possible to plan for these types of civil emergencies?
Finally, Virgin Atlantic has returned to profit and announced plans to double the number of Virgin Holiday stores it operates in the UK.
