Tottenham Riots

Who do you blame for the weekend's riots? Plus our Ramadan Panel, helping you to get through the holy month.

Who do you blame for this weekend's riots?

Residents Police and politicians across London are trying to pick up the pieces after a weekend of violence. A man called Mark Duggan was shot dead in Tottenham on Thursday by Police. The family were unhappy with the Police explanation of what happened and organised a march on Saturday evening to get answers. When they didn't get the response they wanted, violence broke out and escalated into a full scale riot. The family weren't involved in the trouble

Who do you think is to blame. Do you blame the Police for not talking to the family, or do you think these were just criminal acts? What started off as a peaceful protest ended up with looting and vandalism. Is that the way to make yourself heard?

Riots in Oldham and Bradford ten years ago made the authorities pay attention to problems in Asian areas, is that proof rioting works?

What looks like copycat riots spread across London last night. The violence was mainly directed against shops with high value and portable items. Do you blame the police for not getting a grip? And what do you think about the fact that the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London are refusing to come back from their foreign holidays to take charge?

Later we have a special Ramadan Panel to answer your questions on how to get through the holy month.
