The world's biggest tobacco firm defends efforts to get a British university to release data from research on why children take up smoking.
A university is claiming that one of the world's biggest tobacco companies is trying to get access to confidential research into the smoking habits and attitudes of thousands of young people. Philip Morris International, which makes Marlboro cigarettes, has submitted Freedom of Information requests asking for the data from the University of Stirling.
