All the way from London Village it's Beirut - live in session - we can't believe it either.

The new album The Rip Tide out the end of August 2011 on Pompeii Records. Pompeii Records was started and is run by Beirut front man Zack Condon. It was recorded in Upstate New York, Brooklyn and, of course, Condon's hometowns of Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

The band is Zack Condon, Perrin Cloutier on accordion, Paul Collins on bass, Ben Lanz on trombone, Nick Petree on drums, and Kelly Pratt on horns. With contributions from violinist Heather Trost (A Hawk and a Hacksaw) and Sharon Van Etten,.
