An investigation is to be held into the deaths of 4 miners in South Wales. An influx of resettled Gurkhas into the army town of Aldershot is putting strain on resources says MP.

An investigation has been announced into the deaths of four miners at the Gleision Colliery in the Swansea Valley. The men's bodies were found yesterday, a day after a retaining wall broke and flooded the mine with water.

Campaigners in Aldershot say a big influx of former Ghurkas from Nepal is putting serious strain on local services. A rally aimed at highlighting the problem was planned for next month but was called off after concerns that it could stir up racial tensions.
