Baritone Christian Gerhaher and pianist Gerold Huber perform Schubert's Die sch枚ne M眉llerin at the Wigmore Hall.

Schubert's Die sch枚ne M眉llerin is a familiar landmark in the song repertoire, but in 1824 it was groundbreaking: the first hour-long song narrative to have been presented to the public in any form. The simplicity of M眉ller's poems was matched by Schubert with music redolent of love and loss.
