Are dark skinned Asians made to feel ugly?

L'Oreal has been accused of lightening the skin tone of Slumdog star Freda Pinto in advertisements for its cosmetic products, the company has denied the charge. Elsewhere in the trail of Michael Jackson's doctor its emerged that one of his aides was ordered to remove skin lightening cream from his bedroom after his death.
