Jamie Cullum plays an hour of jazz music ranging from its heritage to its future. This week, New Orleans jazz funk and rap trumpeter Trombone Shorty performs music from his latest album, For True, in session at the 大象传媒 Maida Vale studios.

Trombone Shorty's last album Backatown was highly acclaimed in the UK and in the US, where it stayed at number one in Billboard Magazine's Contemporary Jazz Chart for nine consecutive weeks.
