At 1, Is being a stay-at-home mum the easy option?

We're talking about this today because Mothercare has carried out research that shows that housewives feel they're looked down upon and not respected. They also felt insulted by the term 'housewife'. So what's it like in your house? If you're a stay-at-home-mum, do you feel that you're not appreciated for all the hard work you do, childcare, cooking, cleaning etc? Are you taken for granted by a family who see you as a servant and treat where you live as a hotel? Or do you think women need to quit whingeing and recognise the real heroes of the family....the working men?
