A London city worker sets up her husband Vik for a visit from our pretend rogue plumber, when the couple fear they have a leak under their bath. Roger plants a sample of dry rot to convince the IT man that his floor is rotting and will cost thousands of pounds to put right.
Later Roger tries to con Ian in Berkshire by claiming that the spreading roots of his tree are threatening his foundations. Will the cautious consumer cough up the cash required to ring-fence the roots with bogus technology?
Police and Trading Standards officers in south London tackle two brothers who demanded thousands of pounds from elderly consumers for fixing leaks that the brothers had faked.
