Do negative stories put you off sending your child to a Madrassa?
As you heard in Asian Network Reports, Radio 4 has been investigating the treatment of children in Madrassas in Great Britain. They've found that there were hundreds of cases of physical abuse in the religious schools and more than twenty cases of sexual assault reported over the last three years.
If you are sending, or thinking about sending your child to a Madrassa what goes through your mind? Do you look into the local school to see whether there's been any allegations or abuse or do you take it on trust?
After 2, author Sonia Faleiro drops by to talk about her new book Beautiful Thing- Inside The Secret World Of Bombay's Dance Bars.
Later in the show we also chat about ear piercing. Do you Asian parents pierce their kids ears when they are too young? How old were you when you had your ears pierced?
