Neon Indian "tweet in"
Tom Robinson reflects seven days of online music conversation. Chillwave star Alan Palomo, better known as Neon Indian, takes over the show via Twitter.
Tom Robinson presents 6 Music's unique show where artists and fans collaborate online in real time to shape the playlist. This week it's the turn of chillwave star Alan Palomo, better known as Neon Indian, to take over the show via Twitter.
The Texas based, Mexican born synth wizard grew up on 80s electronic music and released his first album Psychic Chasms in 2009, immediately picking up acclaim from the alternative blogging community. Neon Indian was also one of the first acts to be branded "chillwave" along with Washed Out and Toro Y Moi, thanks to his dreamy, woozy sound.
Palomo releases his sophomore album Era Extrana this month and takes control of the show via Twitter, interacting with his fans to build a live playlist of synth sounds past, present and future. You can follow the discussion using the hashtag #NI6Music.
