Yusef persuades Christian to make an unwise decision in an attempt to save his relationship with Syed. Meanwhile, Lola and Ben bond in an unexpected way.

Syed鈥檚 bought a book for Yasmin, Christian notes he won鈥檛 be able to read it to her as it鈥檚 in Urdu. Zainab and Amira plan a birthday party for Yasmin. Christian and Syed鈥檚 plans for a day together are ruined when Zainab insists Syed spend time with Yasmin. Christian tells Yusef he wants a paternity test. Christian extracts a hair from Yasmin鈥檚 cardigan and later delivers two envelopes to Yusef marked 鈥楽鈥� and 鈥榊鈥�. He鈥檚 guilty when Syed jubilantly declares now he has Christian and Yasmin he has everything he could ever want. Meanwhile, Yusef burns the hair from the envelope marked 鈥楽鈥�, extracts a hair from his own head and places it in a bag marked 鈥楽yed Masood鈥�.
Determined to discover if she caused a patient鈥檚 death, Rose crashes Alan Jones鈥� wake in the Vic. She confesses to Reverend Stevens that she鈥檚 responsible. Amused, he tells Rose that the man died from a bee sting.
Jodie and Poppy are unable to afford their rent. Anthony offers them a room, Jodie refuses. Following advice from Roxy, they refuse to pay rent until Ian fixes their maintenance problems; their plan backfires when Ian insists they move out. The girls are forced to accept the room at the Moons鈥�.
Ben buys Christian some aftershave that he refuses 鈥� it鈥檚 inappropriate. Lola attempts to cheer Ben up and wonders how Ben knows he鈥檚 gay if he鈥檚 never slept with a girl. Ben鈥檚 surprised when she kisses him, then responds. Later, post coital, Ben鈥檚 sheepish. The pair decide to just be friends.
Janine makes fun of Michael when he prepares breakfast for two. Heather gets a shock when, arriving to clean Janine鈥檚 house, she finds Michael. He warns her not to reveal he was there. Later, Janine arrives home to a romantic birthday meal cooked by Michael.
