Let the Peoples Sing Gala Concert

Aled Jones introduces highlights from the Let the Peoples Sing gala concert, a celebration of many musical traditions, performed by some of the best international choirs.

Aled Jones introduces highlights from the Gala Concert given at the recent "Let the Peoples Sing" international choral competition, organised biennially by the European Broadcasting Union and hosted this year by 大象传媒 Radio 3 in the new studios of Media City in Salford. Under the banner "Singing the world", choirs from Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Norway and two British choirs, the Wellensian Consort and the choir of Ifield Community College from Crawley in Sussex, take a tour of the musical traditions of different cultures and nations.
