How damaging is alcohol to society in terms of health, law and order, and town centres on a Friday night? What would a Britain without booze be like?
Scotland is likely to become the first country in Europe to introduce minimum pricing for alcohol. A bill being presented to the Scottish Parliament is probably going to become law next year. Approximately one in five Scots are deemed to be what are referred to as 'hazardous drinkers'. So how damaging is alcohol to society in terms of health, law and order, and town centres on a Friday night? What would a Britain without booze be like?
