Stephen Duffy presents a Big Band Special with Ivy Benson Band member Sheila Tracy and conductor and arranger Barry Forgie.
On this special edition of Jazz House, Stephen Duffy takes us on a journey through the classic Big Bands in the UK. Top British names such as Tommy Sampson, Vic Lewis, Johnny Spence and Syd Lawrence will be played but what about the unique all women band from Ivy Benson? Former 大象传媒 Jazz presenter Sheila Tracy will be there to tell us all about it. In the second hour of the programme, Stephen Duffy will focus on the dedicated 大象传媒 Bands such as the 大象传媒 Dance Orchestra, The 大象传媒 Scottish Radio Orchestra and the current 大象传媒 Big Band and to comment on that enormous catalogue, the 大象传媒 Big Band principal arranger and conductor for 大象传媒 Radio 3, Barry Forgie will be joining Stephen for comment and anecdotes.
