Shaken But Not Stirred: Johnnie Meets Sir Roger Moore

Johnnie Walker remembers the girls, the gadgets, the cars and the slick one-liners with '70s Bond, Sir Roger Moore.

Johnnie Walker spins the hits and digs out the rarities from a colourful decade and meets the much-loved 007, Sir Roger Moore.

Sir Roger started the '0s riding on the back of his huge success in the TV series The Saint, joining The Persuaders with Tony Curtis in 1971. In 1973 he was cast in his most famous role, the new lead in the James Bond franchise taking over from Sean Connery and, throughout the decade, he starred in classics including Live and Let Die, A View To A Kill, The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.

Roger would go on to star in three more Bond movies in the 80s, becoming the longest serving actor to play the famous secret agent, a debonair play-boy with his risque one-liners and a constant supply of gadgets.

Also on the show, Johnnie features music and archive interviews from Elton John's 1973 album release Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player.
