Episode 6 of 14

Series about a 1960s airline. Maggie continues to lie as she tries to save her job, Dean's affair gets serious and Kate draws deeper into the world of espionage.

Kate is pulled off her flight by the CIA, leaving the crew to fly to Rio de Janeiro without her. This time she learns that the Yugoslavian diplomat Niko Lonza, with whom she has begun a relationship, has caught their attention and they want her to find out everything she can about him.

Ginny surprises Dean by turning up on the flight intending to spend time with him in Rio, this time bringing her boss and lover Everett Henson, the vice president of Pan Am. Dean fears discovery and tries to talk some sense into her but, when he and Colette bump into Henson and Ginny in the bar and he invites Dean to dinner, Dean begins to suspect Henson might have already discovered the affair.

When Maggie and Laura are arrested by Brazilian police, Maggie is forced to reveal to Laura that she is a fraud, to Laura's huge disappointment. What's more, her insubordination to Miss Havermeyer means she is under disciplinary review and fears the sack when their flight returns to New York.

Remembering all the lies she had to tell to get into Pan Am in the first place, Maggie is becoming deperate to save her job and running out of options.
