In anticipation of 大象传媒 Radio Scotland's Christmas day highlight, The Quest for Donal Q, we go behind the scenes of this radio drama with the production team, and hear from 2 Scottish greats, Billy Connolly and Brian Cox! The play's writer, David Ashton, tells Clare why Connolly and Cox just had to take the lead roles.

Now that the division between UK and the rest of Europe is growing, and it looks like we're very much going our own way politically & economically - where do we stand culturally? Clare and guests will be finding out if this divide will have an affect on arts and culture?

And on the last live Culture Caf茅 before the new year, we cast our mind back over the cultural highlights of 2011. We reminise over the events that captured our imaginations, and remember those that we lost this year.
