Prince Philip has surgery to fix a blocked artery in his heart, dozens are killed in attacks in Syria, Occupy protestors camp out at Christmas, and the World Football phone-in.
Dotun Adebayo with stories from around the world:
Prince Philip has had an operation to remove a blocked artery in his heart. The procedure is known as coronary stenting. We find out what that means with Rebecca Boadway, a coronary nurse from California. And we ask Ingrid Seward from Majesty magazine how a 90 year old like the Prince can keep up with his tough work schedule. She thinks he's likely to cut back on royal engagements next year.
Dozens of people have been killed in two car bombings in the Syrian capital, Damascus. We get the latest from our correspondent Jim Muir, who's watching the story from Lebanon. And Omar, who lives in Damascus and heard the attacks, thinks they're the work of the Syrian government, not Al Qaeda.
Several protestors are braving the cold to keep up their Occupy demonstration at St Paul's Cathedral in London. Up All Night's Chris Wands goes to meet two of them. One is a former soldier who served in Iraq, and will be spending this Christmas under canvas instead of with his family.
And as it's Christmas, we give you half an hour extra to talk about World Football. This week's phone-in guests are Tim Vickery and Sean Wheelock. We discuss Luis Suarez and come up with a Brazilian shirt name for a caller from Holland.
