The Charlatans and John Cooper Clarke share headline duties in this special Classic Concert, recorded at the 6 Music Showcase earlier this year in the brand new 大象传媒 studios in Salford.
The Charlatans, whose singer Tim Burgess hails from nearby Cheshire, run though a string of their best-loved indie classics including "North Country Boy" and "The Only One I Know". Local legend John Cooper Clarke, (also known as the Bard of Salford), performs his classic "Beasley Street" then brings it bang up to date with the gentrified "Beasley Boulevard".
