At 1, Nihal asks - Do saris only suit Asians? Or do you think non-Asian girls actually look better in them?

Three of the girls from The Only way is Essex are on the front of this winter's Asian Woman magazine. They're wearing saris, tikkas and Indian jewellery - with a strap line saying 'The Only way is Desi'. But it doesn't appear to have gone down well with everyone - several papers have commenting on abuse that the girls have received on twitter and facebook, basically saying they look trashy. We've also recieved an email from Zuber in Birmingham asking that we discuss the issue.

So are girls who are making these remarks being jealous and catty? Do Asians feel threatened by non-Asians embracing elements of their culture? Or do you think anyone can pull a sari off?
