Johnnie is joined by Boy George, one of the bright lights of the New Romantic movement who talks about his musical debt to 70s glam rock heroes, including David Bowie and Iggy Pop.

Johnnie Walker is joined by Boy George as he celebrates the music of a colourful and eclectic decade.

As one of the brightest lights of the New Romantic movement, Boy George became one of the most identifiable and notorious musicians of the 80s, with a musical heritage indebted to his glam rock heroes from the decade before, including David Bowie and Iggy Pop.

He went on to become an author, fashion designer, photographer, and is known today for his DJ sets around the globe. No stranger to fresh starts, he welcomes in the New Year with Johnnie Walker, discussing his 70s influences and the music that led him to become the flamboyant lead singer of Culture Club.

Also on the show, a listener recalls their memories of the decade in My 70s, and Johnnie spins some classic tracks from Bruce Springsteen's seminal debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
