Janice Forsyth interviews US author Jason Heller about his new book Taft 2012 and comedian Ross 'Teddy' Craig gives us his comedy forecast for the coming year.

Ross 'Teddy' Craig joins us to talk about his blog Scottish Comedy FC. Teddy is a man who knows how to combine football and comedy, having written and edited such 大象传媒 Scotland shows as Offside and Only Excuse, and now he's overlapping his two passions again, this time on a new website featuring articles by football-supporting comedians.

Teddy comments on the main events he thinks will inspire comedians in 2012, and tells us which stand-ups we should be looking out for.

It's the US elections this year, so it's a good time for a comic look at American politics. US author Jason Heller is getting in early with his new book Taft 2012, in which 'genial giant' and President of over 100 years previous Howard Taft returns to politics. Denver-based Jason Heller tells us why he thought Taft was the perfect vehicle for highlighting the absurdities of politics then and now, and how important it is to get the right person in the job.

Ever wondered how comedians test their material? Or perhaps you've been to a show where they've done just that - did you enjoy it as much as the polished performance?
Tom Stade will be testing his new material throughout January at comedy venue The Shack in Edinburgh. Tom and Comedy Caf茅 regular Jojo Sutherland join Janice to talk about his gigs, and to tell us about the 'gongtastic' Comedy Academy.
