Jesca Hoop and The Do

Double booking madness! Marc has American singer Jesca Hoop live in the studio and French-Finnish duo the The Do live down the line from London.

Double booking madness! We have Amercan singer Jesca Hoop live in Salford and French/Finnish duo The D酶,(its pronouced dough), live down the line from London.

The Divine Ms. Hoop, who is now based in Manchester, starts her tour off with a visit to Media City Salford to deliver some top quality gubbins.

The past year has seen Jesca support Eels on their summer run, duet & tour with Peter Gabriel, and do the rounds of the European festival circuit, as well as recording & releasing her stripped down 'Snowglobe' EP. The lead track 'City Bird' was recently selected by Tom Waits for his Uncut magazine 'Jukebox' CD.

She is now busy in Zeitgeist Studio in Los Angeles, putting the finishing touches to her next full-length studio album, as yet untitled, which will come to light in 2012.

The D酶, aka Dan and Olivia, will be dropping into 6 Music's London studio to play us some tracks from their excellent new album "Both Ways Open Jaws". It's the follow up to their 2008 debut "A Mouthful" which we liked a lot. It was a big hit in France too where they became the first French act singing in English to top the French charts.

They're playing a rare live date in London this week. After that your next chance to catch them will be in Switzerland in April.
