A concert given by the Hall茅 conducted by Sir Mark Elder in which they are joined by Danish violinist Nikolaj Znaider in a performance of Bartok's 2nd Violin Concerto. The concert opens with Sibelius's dark tone poem The Bard, and it concludes with the work Wagner described as 'the apotheosis of the dance', Beethoven's 7th Symphony.
