A rural fuel discount has come into force on the Islands, but is it fair that they get special treatment? And Kaye asks: is some exercise better than none at all?

When it comes to fuel prices should the islands be a special case?

Treasury Minister Danny Alexander is on Skye this morning to launch the Government's island fuel rebate scheme which sees a reduction of 5p per litre for those living on island communities.

Islander fuel campaigners say that the fuel rebate will make no difference to them after two price rises in a week so we'll be asking if the Scottish island should be a special case when it comes to fuel prices. Or with all of us being hit in the pocket when to comes to petrol, why should the islands get special treatment?

How much exercise do we really need?

This week the 大象传媒's Horizon programme this week highlighted new research showing that only a few short bursts of intense exercise for 3 minutes at a time can be very effective for some people's fitness and overall health. But doesn't the idea of short bursts of intense exercise go against all the public health messages we've had about being active for longer? Is some exercise better than none at all?
