In the feature Headline News [Number One Albums On Noteworthy Days] we hear Jamaica Farewell by Harry Belafonte from the LP Calypso. It was number one on 18 November 1956 - the day on which the Soviet Union Premier Nikita Khrushchev said "We will bury you".

We also hear the title track of Frank Sinatra's album Nice 'n' Easy. It was number one on 25 November 1960 - the day on which John F. Kennedy, Jr. was born - sixteen days after his father was elected President of the USA. I

In the regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, songs are featured from albums by Bob Marley & The Wailers and Matchbox 20. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights Only The Lonely by Roy Orbison and a different song with the same title by The Motels.

In A Matter Of Life And Death Paul celebrates the birth on this date in 1966 of Edie Brickell by playing her first hit What I Am. We also hear Daydream Believer by The Monkees as a tribute to Davy Jones, who died last month. With A Little Help From My Friends by Joe Cocker and Wooly Bully by Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs are this week's featured records from the Grammy Hall Of Fame Singles list.

Our R&B Number Ones are from 1979 - Bustin' Loose by Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers, and this week - Love On Top by Beyonce. We hear Country Number Ones from 1957 by Johnny Cash and Carrie Underwood's current hit. And this week's past and present Rock Number Ones are by Cage The Elephant and Gotye featuring Kimbra.

Adele remains at the top of the US album chart for a twenty-second non-consecutive week with 21 while We Are Young by fun. featuring Janelle Monae is the best selling single of the week.
