The Fantasy Funk Band return as part of 6 Music's 10th birthday celebrations. On vocals are The Magic Numbers, Beverley Knight and Lisa Stansfield.

6 Music is 10 years old and here on the Funk and Soul show we are celebrating with a very special show. The Fantasy Funk Band - headed by James Taylor and featuring a who's who of the best funk and soul musicians in the UK - returns to the airwaves.

This time they are joined at Maida Vale studios by a host of wonderful guest vocalists. The performers stepping up to the mic include the likes of Beverley Knight, The Magic Numbers, Pat Kane, Jasmine Kara and Lisa Stansfield.

As well as covering some absolute soul stomping classics they will also bring some funk to a few well known tunes including The Stooges I Wanna be Your Dog and Seasons of the Witch by Donovan. Get your dancing shoes on because it's going to be very funky.
