Keavo takes a rib-tickling satirical romp through the day's news and events, plus he is joined by actor Rhys Thomas.
Do you want too much chat, not enough music and too many adverts? Try someone else. Want the perfect balance of brilliant alternative music and waking witticisms? Try us.
As 大象传媒 Radio 6 Music continues to celebrate our 10th Brithday this week we chat with one of the UK's finest comic actors: Rhys Thomas.
Having already appeard in Shooting Stars & Bellamy''s People, Rhys chats with Shaun about his role in Channel 4's comedy drama 'Sirens' which follows a team of three world-weary male paramedics are forced to confront the dregs of society - not to mention their own inadequacies. The series is inspired by Tom Reynolds' novel - Blood, Sweat and Tea' is set in Leeds follows a trio of discontented paramedics bicker through the darkly funny maelstrom of their lives and are forever forced to deal with humanity at its stupidest. Behind the uniforms, the sirens and the fast driving, they are three ordinary blokes trying to make it through yet another shift. But once they've finished saving other people's lives, will they be able to salvage their own?
All this plus Shaun's usual rib-tickling satirical romp through the day's news and events all set to the perfect morning soundtrack for any music-lover; from northern soul to new folk; rock 'n' roll to indie disco. New tracks from the likes of Friendly Fires and Foals are nestled in next to the back catalogues of Hendrix and The Smiths. Shaun is joined live in studio by Matt Everitt for an irreverent take on the day's music news.
