Max attempts to persuade Lauren to come for Tanya鈥檚 scan results but she鈥檚 hostile, believing she鈥檚 only wanted again now she鈥檚 got a use. Preparing for bad news, Tanya has put together boxes of special things for the children and written letters. She shows them to Max, then snaps at him when he gets upset. At hospital, Tanya jumps out of the car before Max can park. Cora gives Max a pep talk in the car park. Inside, Tanya sits between Max and Cora, staring at the consultant鈥檚 door. She鈥檚 thrilled when Lauren arrives. Max smiles and quietly apologises to Lauren. When an upset couple emerge from the consultant鈥檚 room, Tanya panics, she鈥檚 not ready.
Mandy offers to make Ian breakfast, but he says he鈥檚 taking Ben to school. In the car, Ian tries to reason with Ben and is aghast when Ben insists Phil will one day respect him for what he鈥檚 done. Ian reminds Ben of the boy he once was. He tells Ben their mother would be breaking her heart now and would say Ian can鈥檛 sit on the information he has. Ben鈥檚 sure the police won鈥檛 believe Ian. Ian and Ben are both in tears, Ian hugs Ben tightly. They go to the prison. Waiting in the prison visiting room, an agitated Ben starts rambling, anticipating Phil鈥檚 reaction. However, when Ben actually sees Phil he flees.
Heather鈥檚 wedding dress looks like a nighty, but she鈥檚 stoical about it. Heather鈥檚 thrilled when Dot buys her dream wedding dress as a surprise.
Roxy鈥檚 thrown out of the salon for having nits. She blames Bianca鈥檚 kids, but has to eat her words when she discovers Amy鈥檚 the source of the infestation. Roxy confides in Alfie that she鈥檚 short of money; he offers her the role of temporary landlady.
