Professor Robert Winston introduces his personal Schubert choices, including the Rondo Brillant, D895 played by Isabelle Faust and Alexander Melnikov, and the Fantasy, D940.

Continuing 大象传媒 Radio 3's celebration of The Spirit of Schubert, Professor Robert Winston introduces some of his personal choices including a recording of the Fantasy in F minor D.940 played by Sviatoslav Richter and Benjamin Britten, and a recording of the Second Symphony with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt. The programme also includes a selection of Schubert's settings of Goethe songs composed in 1815, that remarkable year being celebrated today on Radio 3.
