Should Britain be a smoke free society? Large supermarkets in England are now banned from displaying cigarettes. A good start, or should adults choose how to live their own lives?
Should Britain be a smoke free society?
From today, large supermarkets in England are banned from displaying cigarettes and other tobacco products. Similar rules are on the way for the rest of the UK. The Health Secretary Andrew Lansley says he wants to arrive at a place where young people just don't think about smoking and they don't see tobacco and they don't see cigarettes.
How far should we go .... Ban people smoking in their car..... ban people from smoking in front of their children.... ban people from smoking in their home..... ban people smoking in parks? Or is this an attack on the rights of rational adults who want to choose the way they live their own lives?
