Chesterfield have struggled to impose themselves in League One this season and relegation remains a real threat for the Spireites, but the Johnstone's Paint Trophy has given John Sheridan's side a real lease of life. Their route to the final included a two-legged win over Oldham Athletic in the northern area final.
As for Swindon, life is anything but dull under their mercurial manager Paolo di Canio. He has taken Swindon to the brink of promotion from League Two while masterminding a trip to Wembley in this competition.
