3/4 Ruth Joseph speaks to Ruth Wishart about her mother's battle with anorexia and how the illness impacted on their relationship. Ruth was left to care for her mother throughout the majority of her illness and watched her deteriorate to the point where she weighed only four stone before her death.

The impact of seeing her parent succumb to such a gripping illness has led Ruth herself to experience childhood obesity as she was force fed by her mother and later developed and overcame anorexia as she battled with her own relationship with food.
