On the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, Dotun Adebayo presents a special phone-in with archive audio and new interviews with the relatives of those on board.
At 2.20am on April 15th 1912, RMS Titanic sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean with the loss of more than 1,500 lives. Less than three hours earlier, the vessel, which had been described as unsinkable, had struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. On the 100th anniversary of that fateful night, Dotun Adebayo hosts a special phone-in programme which remembers the tragedy. Titanic authors Richard Davenport-Hines (Titanic Lives) and Hugh Brewster (Gilded Lives, Fatal Voyage) answer questions and provide unique insight into the most infamous shipping disaster in history.
Featuring audio from the 大象传媒 archive and new interviews with the relatives of those on board, Up All Night will also cross live to the site of the disaster where passengers on a memorial voyage will be involved in a special service to mark the anniversary.
