Damon Albarn talks about Dr Dee, Irvine Welsh chats about his new book and films, and Tim Burgess talks about his book, plus Richard Hawley, Mystery Jets and Pete Tong.
An hour long show with some of the best bits from 6 Music over the last week, this week we have Stuart Maconie talking to the ever artistically evolving Damon Albarn about his latest release Dr. Dee. Shaun Keaveny is chatting to the once enfant terrible of the literary scene, Irvine Welsh, about his new book Scagg Boys and many films Filth, The Magnificent 11 and Ecstasy. There's also another less obvious author, Tim Burgess, probably better known as The Charlatans frontman, chatting to Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie about his new book 'Telling Stories'. And keeping with the northern theme, Richard Hawley is live in session with Steve Lamacq, there's more live music with The Mystery Jets in session with Lauren Laverne. As part of 6 Music celebrating dance culture this month you'll hear from the essential Pete Tong who gave us a taster of his playlist.
