How does the Government's water strategy measure up against the UK's European counterparts? Is Anglian Water prepared for the looming water crisis? And why did the drought happen?
Inside Out returns with a special programme about the drought. David Whiteley finds out how the Government's water strategy measures up against our European neighbours. We are heading towards a crisis if the rains don't come this winter, summer rain will not replenish the region's water supplies, so is it time to look at other ways of producing our drinking water. Richard Daniel investigates whether Anglian Water is prepared for the looming water crisis. And meteorologist Nick Miller travels from the wettest to the driest part of Britain to find out how this dangerous drought risk came about.
